Freewheelers 1931013 1930s Model U.S. Navy Overcoat (Navy)
The military overcoat or pea coat is an iconic piece of sartorial history, and Freewheelers have made one to rival all others. Taking their influence from a 1930’s, pre WWII design, this coat is cut from a heavy melton wool which is incredibly warm. The ten buttons which adorn the front are the iconic navy anchor style, and a hidden collar fastening has been included for those arctic winter days. The satin blend lining has been stencilled with the U.S.N initials for a touch if authenticity. The traditional high collar features a v-stitch to reinforce its construction, adding rigidity which means it will stay up to protect the neck. As a final detail, the coat has a ‘Naval Clothing Factory’ care label on the inside, made from vintage cotton.
