Drawing influence from classic French workwear, this jacket comes from the pre-1060 period when these pieces were still crafted from the incredibly supple moleskin fabric. Known for its durability, and warming qualities, moleskin was the fabric of choice for the workers, before switching to the more cost effective French twill.
The boxy shape of the original designs has been maintained on this piece, and simple detailing including a button front, three patch pockets on the outer, and one hidden pocket on the inside all add to the classic styling of this jacket. Buttoned cuffs help the sleeve to be easily popped, and the shape of this jacket allows for it to be easily layered in the winter months.
